Twyla has been a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor since 1992. She began her career in the field of chemical dependency in LaGrange where she worked primarily with adults providing Screenings & Assessments & Crisis Intervention. She has been with Youth & Family Services since 1994 & has a wide variety of experience both in service provison to families, youth & individuals as well as program & agency management. Twyla was promoted to Assistant Executive Director in 2004 & assumed the postion of Executive Director for YFS in 2012. Twyla believes healing from life's sometimes unfairly dealt circumstances is possible and in fact, with assistance, these "hurts" can be used to enhance spiritual growth & wisdom.

Vicki Frederickson
Financial Manager

Vicki was raised in Eagle Lake. After high school graduation Vicki attended the University of Houston where she earned a degree in Business Technology. Vicki has experience in finance, marketing, public relations & government relations in the rice industry, legal field, oil & gas business & long term-care for the elderly. Vicki enjoys working on her "hobby farm" on the weekend & watching spectator sports.

Sarah Hernandez

Sarah is a Columbus native. She attended Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminology & Corrections. Sarah was  employed by Montgomery County Juvenile Probation Department as a Juvenile Probation Officer until she retired in 2011. Much of Sarah's work with the juvenile probation department involved intensive work with families. Upon returning to Columbus Sarah found herself not quite ready to be retired so she joined the staff at YFS. Sarah brings a unique perspective to her work and her vast experience has proven helpful in her current position.

Kameka Edwards

Kameka was born & raised in Eagle Lake, graduating from Rice High School. After high school she attended Blinn College & Prairie View A&M University. She received a degree in Early Childhood Education. Kameka has spent her career working with youth & families, holding positions at Cen-Tex Family Service Center (Head Start) & Blinn College. Her love for HGTV inspired her to become a Realtor. 

Lori Moore

Lori is originally from Houston, Tx. She studied Psychology at Texas A&M University and the University of Houston. Lori moved to Colorado County 25 years ago to raise her children "in the country". She worked as a Legal Assistant for over 20 years helping individuals & families navigate the criminal justice system & family law courts. Lori adheres to Teddy Roosevelt's adage "Do what you can, where you are, with what you have."
