The goal of STAR Services is to provide timely and appropriate assistance to youth
and families, to reduce at-risk situations, to stabilize the family, and support parents. 
Youth and/or parents may access services directly.

The STAR program gives priority to strengthening the family and keeping it together.

Activities for these services include the following:

Short Term Family and Individual Counseling
Counseling for youth ages newborn to 17 years and their families focuses on resolving family conflict, truancy, juvenile delinquency, and runaway issues.

Youth and Parent Skills Building Workshops   
Topics include Problem Solving, Trust Building, Communication, Feelings,  Identity/Self-Awareness, Anger Management, Assertiveness Training, and Parenting Skills

Summer Experiential and Enrichment Programs
Youth learn team building skills, increase self-esteem, practice social skills, and  participate in fun activities.

Child Abuse Prevention Services
Providing child abuse prevention education to the community through informational workshops, distribution of prevention information, and promoting awareness of prevention issues.
